Appointment Policy for Practice Websites

To avoid client pushback on this new program, we recommend adding the following updated appointment policy to your practice’s website:

Appointment Confirmation Policy

To accommodate you better and ensure we are maximizing our team’s time to see more patients in need, we have implemented the following appointment confirmation policy.

Here’s how it will work:

  • 5 days prior to your appointment, you will receive an email and text message reminder to make sure the appointment still works with your schedule. If not, we encourage you to call us to reschedule.
  • 3 days prior to your appointment, you will receive an email and text message reminder with a request to confirm your appointment.
  • 2 days prior to your appointment, you will receive an email and text message reminder with a request to confirm your appointment.
  • 1 day prior to your appointment – If you have not yet confirmed your appointment, you will receive a text message from our practice, asking you to confirm your appointment by 4pm. Unconfirmed appointments will be released so that another pet can be scheduled.

The goal of this policy is to increase our availability to treat pets in need.

Placement: We recommend you add this policy to your website in a link under the Client Center area of the site. The AmeriVet team will take care of adding the updated policy to all WhiskerCloud sites. If you are not on a WhiskerCloud site, you will need to relay this information to your current website provider to update.
